Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Is Aware of Fans' Second Season Predictions — And She Has Good News

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on the streaming platform soon, and audience theories has been rampant.

Season 1 introduces a diverse group of characters living within the afterlife, pits them against each other with songs detailing their conflicts, and builds heated competitions and emotional bonds that drive audience devotion.

The community's expectations for the new season differ greatly, but certain threads recur frequently: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with audience demands as the main goal," the showrunner stated recently. "But I believe that me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean fans have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how fast season 2 moves, and how many of what they're waiting for happens now.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we get some really amazing disclosures, some really cool backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — especially in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a couple people create a prediction grid about season 2," she says. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've actually done a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
