Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later released.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
